Hope for Wellness Helpline

 This helpline offers mental health support for Indigenous individuals, with services available in English, French, Cree, Ojibway, and Inuktitut. Call 1-855-242-3310 anytime or visit hopeforwellness.ca for online chat support.

Kids Help Phone

 Kids Help Phone provides 24/7 confidential support for youth across Canada via phone, text, and online chat. Call 1-800-668-6868 or text CONNECT to 686868 for support. Visit kidshelpphone.ca for additional resources.

Wellness Together Canada

 Wellness Together Canada is a free mental health and substance use support portal that offers self-guided resources, peer support, and professional counseling. Call 1-866-585-0445 or visit wellnesstogether.ca for help.

Trans Lifeline

 Trans Lifeline is a peer-run support service for trans and questioning individuals. Call 1-877-330-6366 for support.

Canadian Human Trafficking Hotline

 This confidential hotline offers support for victims and survivors of human trafficking. Call 1-833-900-1010 anytime or visit canadianhumantraffickinghotline.ca for assistance.

National Overdose Response Service (NORS)

 NORS offers judgment-free support for individuals using substances alone. Call 1-888-688-6677 for 24/7 assistance.

Shelter Safe

 ShelterSafe helps individuals experiencing domestic violence find nearby shelters and support services. Visit sheltersafe.ca to access resources. They offer a list of domestic violence phone lines for each province/territory. 

211 Canada

 211 Canada connects people to social and community services, including mental health support, financial assistance, food security, and housing resources. Dial 211 or visit 211.ca to find services in your area.

Good2Talk

Good2Talk

Good2Talk provides anonymous mental health help for post-secondary students. Call 1-866-925-5454. 

Crisis Support Lines Across Ontario

The crisis support lines below offer mental health or addictions support.

  •  Here 24/7 (1-844-437-3247): Mental health, addiction and crisis services for the Waterloo-Wellington-Dufferin region 
  • Durham crisis and mental health line: 905-666-0483
  • Toronto Distress Center (476-408-4357): Mental health and emotional support for GTA regions
  • Oakville Distress Center (905-849-4541): Support for the Halton region including Burlington, Halton Hills, Milton and Oakville
  • Peel Crisis Service (905-278-9036): Immediate crisis support for individuals aged 16+, who are experiencing a mental health crisis. in the Peel region which includes Mississauga, Brampton, and Caledon
  • Spectra Helpline (416-920-0497): Multilingual mental health support line for Brampton and Mississauga residents 
  • York Region Community Response Service and Distress Center (1-855-310-2673)
